Re: Questions Regarding Minimoog Voyager OS Update

Sorry, I havn't found some 3.6 read-me files with a list of the new features. Not even one for the 3.0 to higher versions. And there were so many features added, like disabling local control for keys, pots, wheels and not all in just one setting.

But you can be sure, that Rudi only improved things ...

Re: Model D: VirtualMusic MUSE card alternative for aftertouch to mod

I was an early buyer of this MUSE card for my two 2016 minimoog reissues (actually built 2017). And I would never part with it. I bought it mainly for the aftertouch to modwheel thing. And I am using it in the Reduced Modulation setting here most of the time. it is very handy when playing live and ...

Re: Questions Regarding Minimoog Voyager OS Update

1. Is it correct that the Voyager does not allow bank switching directly from the unit? I have been unable to find this function.
Of cause, this is possible. from the manual from 2013:
"To change banks, press and hold the CURSOR button and use the -1/+1 buttons to step through the banks. Banks can ...

Re: Voyager Old School keyboard problem

Welcome to the Moog Forum, Cello!

Maybe ask syntaur.com. They got contact rubbers in three length online:
https://syntaur.com/keyboard.php?keyboard=Moog_Minimoog%20Voyager

They also got a tech forum:
https://forums.syntaur.com/

Or even better: ask Rudi Linhard in Germany. He is also in this forum ...

Re: Minimoog Keybed Problem – Sticky and Unresponsive Keys

If the mechanical feeling is wrong, the old bushings need to be swapped for new ones. I did this on my 1979 Minimoog about 20 years ago.

If there are contact problems, use pure technical alcohol to clean the contact springs with a Q-Tip gently (don't brake the springs!) and the two bus boards. If ...

Re: Sysex dump from Logic Pro to voyager

Welcome to the forum!

Use Sysex Librarian for the macOS. Its freeware. And very reliable. No need to change the default settings for the Voyager (and most other synths).

But please notice: some MIDI interfaces cause trouble with larger sysex data being sent. I use an Emagic MT4 for more than two ...

What Minimoog version? Vintage Minimoog, Minimoog Voyager or one of the Reissue Minimoogs?

Re: Any chance for Moog desktop module?

Welcome to the forum!

No information or rumor heard. And after such a long time the keyboard being available, I doubt there will be any new format of it ever.

And who knows, what the future of Moog will bring us?

Re: Tuning Drift & QC Glitches

@pandrhola

Are you talking about the Voyager or the Minimoog?

My Minimoogs (1979 and 2017) and my 2003 built Voyager is are all very stable once they warm up. But you need to adjust the global tune a bit, if the room temperature is changed by more than 5°C suddenly. I never had to retune them on ...

Re: Potentiometer and encoders for sub phatty

Octave are rotary switches.

The pots are all 10 kB except (they are just to set a voltage to be A/D converted for the processor which in turn will rout the CVs via DACs to the analog sound circuits) for the headphone being a 100 k audio one.
The two octave rotary switches are 4x1 ones. The one for ...

Re: Moog sub phatty encoder and potentiometer

The rotary switches as used for the two oscillator octaves and the LFO waveshape are known to fail.
I bought the replacements for these switches from the Moog support in my country (actually the old company, not the one in charge at the moment). The soldering was done by some solder experienced ...

Re: Taurus II Stand / Rod / Bracket

It is a 5/8″ with 27 TPI (threats per inch) for sure. The size is in the service manual in the Mechanical Replacement Part list as "Flange, Stand, 5/8-27 (AD-11)"

Re: Taurus II Stand / Rod / Bracket

Welcome to this forum!

Microphone stands typical use 5/8″ with 27 TPI (threats per inch). But you may find 1/2″ and 3/8″ too. You can measure them by converting the measured centimeters to inches by dividing by 0.39.

Greetings from Tübingen/Germany.

Re: Patch to emulate Taurus

The Moog Taurus VCOs had a V/Hz and not a V/oct characteristic. Much like the Moog 901B modules. On V/Hz VCOs, you can't get normal musical interval detuning. You only get static differences in frequency, These are caused by manually slightly added or substracted DC voltages from the VCO input. The ...

Re: Voyager aftertouch modification

The field upgrade was sold by Moog directly at the time they also sold the new digital Voyager board to upgrade from one to many banks of sounds. Moog did not sold these field upgrades for many years.

I bought one aftertouch modification in 2009. You received a board (see attached picture) that you ...
