Re: Voyager portamento out via CV/VX-351

Thank you for the information! Strange as the Voyager has 8 (!) different types of portamento settings in the menu - extremly well portamentofied. ... Originally there was just one glide mode (either off or on). In January 2009 the different glide modes were conceived by Rudi Linhard based on a log...

Re: Sub37 Sequencer will not record new sequences

A quick test:
Disconnect alle cables except power and audio. No USB or MIDI cables.
Powercycle the Sub37.
Does this change the behavior?
If not, check if local control is on or off. It should be on with ON without USB and MIDI connected.

Re: Upgrade 8-voice to 16-voice possible?

I think this question can only be answered by Moog Music and not by users here.
And what about maybe different hardware revisions by the time you buy the upgrade?

Re: Can the main panel of the Voyager be disconnected and used standalone?

As we all miss a public Voyager schematic, we can just speculate if this will work or not.

...PRESETS The possibility: To save Timbres in a list and not only in a Preset. To load timbres from a list to a synth To copy synth 1 to Synth 2 and so on. You can load any timbre of a preset into any of the three synths of the active preset right now (page 119, last paragraph). So I don't see why...

Re: Single voice Moog One model

The voice board is not the most expensive part of a synth. The panel of the Moog One is quite expensive to produce with all the knobs. So a monophonic synth with the same UI would cost way to much.

Re: Moog the Source cv in

First of all: I don't thing the Elektron Analog Keys gives you S-trig out. Most synths, and all released in the last years I can think of use a positive voltage for gat/trigger. The old vintage Moog ones need to get a shorting to start the envelopes. So you need a converter for this. synthesizers.co...

Re: Sub 37 does not receive CC19?

CC19 (MSB) is correct. The CC51 (LSB) range is about 1 digit of the CC19 range. So using CC51 might not cause any audible change at all. The MSB is covering the whole range. The LSB is only the fine adjustment in between the values of one MSB digit. So 128 times of full LSB range would be the same a...

For instance, there is a lot of long release stealing that could be much more graceful if the priority was to cut the same note if it is already playing, instead of cutting another one and having the same note overlapping with its own release. I can understand why it can be good sometimes, but ...

Re: Minimoog Model D vs reissue

The reissue Minimoog is based on the second revision of Minimoogs. So it sound even better than my 1979 original Minimoog. I own also a reissue Minimoog for 2 years. The only negative detail on the reissue Minimoog ist the way the keyboard action works: it is NOT a voltage dividing two contact one, ...
