Re: Mother 32 + DFAM sync problem
From the video, it looks like the M32 is definitely running faster than the DFAM. Are you sure that you've not assigned clock/2 or clock/4? In that case, starting or stopping may lead to a break in the clock output rate that needs catching up, which would look exactly as in the video.

Re: Subharmonicon Boot Issue Traced to Audio Output Board — Spare Parts or VCA Workaround?
The VCA output follows the volume control, so you can dial the volume down to optimum audio interface input levels.

Re: Need a help
Could be the effect of moving the VCO frequency through a specific setting of cutoff and resonance. Turn cutoff all the way to the right and resonance all the way to the left. Also make sure that the LFO doesn't beat with the VCO frequency by turning VCO mod amount all the way to the left. Changing ...

There are two types of MIDI DIN to TRS adapters. Make sure you have the correct one.

Re: Subharmonicon sequencer trigger bug?
For my latest 'music video' I figured it out, how to trigger SEQ2 correctly. I had to time the first activation differently than the second (and following) times.
I found out that after a press of the reset button (before I start the performance), there will always be a FULL SEQ1 loop before SEQ2 ...

Re: Subharmonicon sequencer trigger bug?
I don't think there's a direct link between SEQ1 and SEQ2. Only indirectly; if you've set up SEQ1 to go 4x faster than SEQ2, you can get SEQ2 to advance every time SEQ1 loops back to step one if you press start after you've reset the SubH sequencer. At least that's how I use it, and indeed, if I ...

Re: Unable to trigger DFAM by Matriarch or Grandmother clock out
It seems that the DFAM trigger needs a really sharp pulse. I can get it to trigger from the VCOs when they are set to square wave, but not with the pitch, even when that's set to max. This even though the manual describes the trigger input as pulse or gate signal.

Re: DFAM audible click noise
Hmm.. it seems the clicks are coming well before the attack, almost as if they're at the end of a step instead of the start. But it seems they're there in the internally clocked part as well, even though much less pronounced..
Thinking about this, a possible cause can be that there's a fast attack ...

Re: DFAM audible click noise
There should be no bleeding from Adv/Clock input to the VCA-EG. Is the click also there if you manually trigger the DFAM at the same speed? If so, then maybe try setting VCA-EG to slow helps.

Re: M32 into DFAM Assignable insanity
According to the DFAM and M32 manuals, that's indeed the way to do it (assignable output to #2 clock to adv/clock on the DFAM), so it's probably something else, and that's difficult to diagnose without seeing what else is going on..

Re: Ext Audio
TRS doesn't carry phantom power, so you should be fine. The white noise is something that can happen if you pull out the driver side of a patch cable. The open cable acts as a pick-up, sometimes that can even be used as a signal source, for example by tapping the tip of the TRS cable with a finger ...

Re: Ext Audio
Connecting inputs to inputs usually has no consequences, assuming you did not connect phantom power (48V) in some way or another.

Not sure what kind of scope you're using, but here's what comes to mind to check first:
- if you're using separate probe cables, each with 2 clips, make sure that the probes both have the same ground and one is not swapped
- depending on the scope's capabilities, make sure that you've not set it up ...

Re: Matriarch patch not matching what I saw in video.
If it doesn't sound as echo-y as in the video, that's probably due to an echo, delay or reverb effect that's not mentioned. Happens a lot in videos showcasing a synth or a patch.

Re: DFAM & Korg SQ-64 - Velocity voltage?
You can pump up the volume and snap by patching VCA-EG out to VCA-CV in. Effectively, this doubles the VCA envelope.
Caveat: there is some risk of clipping if the internal signal path is already close to maxed-out... so you may have to dial back the VCO1/VCO2/NOISE-EXT level a bit.
