Another proud Voyager owner

Post by Simon » Tue Jul 26, 2005 6:11 pm

My Voyager AE arrived today and I must say that I am very impressed with it. I live in the UK and had difficulty deciding whether to buy from Turnkey or import one to get the proper Moog branding. In the end I opted to buy in the UK, which should make support a bit easier.

I've got to say that the sound is just fantastic. I had a Prodigy some years ago, and I've missed that Moog sound ever since I sold it! I used to have a fair collection of synths, but sold them all a few years back when I moved house. I've been itching to buy a new synth for ages and it just had to be a Moog.

I am now the proud owner of Voyager AE #657 and was very suprised to see that it had been signed by Bob Moog in silver pen! Was this signing done for the last few in the batch, if so how many? How many AEs were produced in total?

Simon,

Welcome to the group! The signature on your AE was discussed in another thread and from what I can remember, the last 100 AE Voyagers were hand signed by Dr. Moog. That upset some people who bought the SEs and rightfully so. I'm not sure how many AE Voyagers were produced.

Hi Simon

"I am now the proud owner of Voyager AE #657 and was very suprised to see that it had been signed by Bob Moog in silver pen! Was this signing done for the last few in the batch, if so how many? How many AEs were produced in total?"

I also got my AE from Turnkey and yes, mine is also signed in silver pen. Like the previous guy said, the last 100 AEs have been signed in silver pen..

See you around,
Paul

Well, I just put a brand new AE on layaway. I'm pretty excited. I can't wait to integrate it with my M'foogers and CP251

Finally got my new AE Voyager. Man, it's great. Insane with the CP 251. One of these days I've got to get the VX 351.
