Hopefully it will be judged differently to last year. The flaws were people not being able to get their vote in, virtually everybody that wanted to vote for mine couldn't. I also didn't like the idea that it was on the honor system and potentially people could have voted for themselves multiple times.
Would also be nice to have separate categories for best video and best music.
How about a separate prize that's judged by a panel too - not just a competition of who has the most friends!

Will the contest also be announced here? Some people don't do facebook (for good reason).

This is my first post here but I've been a lurker for a while. My name is Jon and I play cello and arrange music for the Divine Hand Ensemble. We're based in the Philadelphia area and the instrumentation is theremin, string quartet, two harps, classical guitar, and glockenspiel. We put a lot of time and effort into our Moog Halloween Video Contest submission this year. The piece is from Dario Argento's 1987 film, Opera which has a very dark, halloweeny vibe. (how is halloweeny not in the dictionary??) Anyway, enjoy the video!

I thought that was a very beautiful piece of music, the video was well shot and the theremin playing was pristine.

Welcome to the forum!

Good luck!

Eric
