Hey everybody, I've been hanging out at this forum for quite a while, and finally decided to post a link to my music. Discovering the world of Moogerfoogers, which later led to the acquisition of a couple of Moog keyboards, has totally affected my musical identity. These things are such powerful tools - it's almost at the point where I never turn them off!

Anyway, here's the link: download.com/hieronymous

You can hear the Moogerfoogers most prominently on "Spewch" (where I take a Moogerfooger solo in the middle with the MF-101 and 103), and more subtly (perhaps) on "Philtre 927" (phasered Micromoog) and "Taurus VI" (this time phasered Rogue, plus my Fender Jaguar six-string bass through low-pass filter and delay).

So, enjoy the music! Feel free to let me know what you think too - I love feedback. (Be nice though! :D )

Well, nobody's commented, though it appears that lots of people have read the entry and maybe even some people have downloaded the song. Maybe cuz I said "be nice" nobody's commented?

So, ignore the "be nice" part and tell me it sux, tell me it's great, tell me anything!

Oh, and happy new year everybody!

I only listened to one song (dial-up modem). It was the one with the ring mod carrier osc solo. It sounded jazzy and nice. I thought the 'solo' was a bit plain... but unhinged at the same time. Hard to control the thing by the freq knob...

I did notice, however that your location is listed as in Berkeley on that site (here it says Japan)... I live in the area (just across the way in the north bay).
I also noticed that you be a Zappa fan, ostensibly... I am a dedicated Zappologist myself. Anyhow... Foog on.

Thanks for the reply! I did live in Berkeley, now I live in Kyoto, though I go back to the Bay Area relatively often (one or two times a year...) And I am definitely a Zappa fanatic! (Though the recent release, Joe's Domage, is pretty disappointing...)

Thanks for the "unhinged" comment - that's what I was going for! I enjoyed the limitation of using just the freq knob (and turning it on and off for some phrasing).

Do you play in a band or make your own music?

I currently don't do much. I'm trying to get back into music, and build up an arsenal of tools. I consider myself a composer though... Have an interest in doing everything, with a band and on my own...

PS I just got a cable modem. I'll listen to some more of your stuff soon. (been downloading a bunch of lossless live shows... and I've heard things about, but haven't myself gotten any of the latest Zappa releases)
