The Great Slide is an original four piece outfit from Asheville, NC. We are based out of an old warehouse that we spent the past few years renovating into a recording studio and rehearsal space. Everyone in the band has Moogerfoogers in their rigs. Each guitarist has an Analog Delay. Our bass player/keyboardist has a 12 Stage Phaser and Analog Delay combo. He premixes his Bass, Moog Taurus II pedals, and Wurlitzer organ into the Moogerfoogers. There is a Ring Mod that is also dedicated to the Rhodes. The drummer processes real-time loops and other signals into a Filter, Ring Mod, Analog Delay, and sometimes a Phaser. This is used moderately. We also have a CP-251 which occasionally gets used for full band-style parameter control.
Visit www.thegreatslide.com to hear some sounds of the band recording with Moogerfoogers on lots of signals.

Being from Asheville, do they get some sort of hometown discount??? Perhaps some sort of secret key to the MF-104 silo???

Being from Asheville, the drummer worked at the factory for two years. It just happened to be right around the same time that the Analog Delay was being produced. I wish we had a key to the secret silo because those things are incredible. As well as each instrumentalist having one, there is one for the sound engineer to use on vocals. Nothing like long feedback pitch-bent vocals.
