LP Stage Edition Availability?

Question of anyone who can answer... Is the LP Stage Edition still available brand new? I tried to order it this week and was informed by the Canadian distributor, SF Marketing, that the only available model from them was the Stage II...
I'm curious if this is accurate, or if they're just being too lazy to order a single unit. I have no problem upgrading the SE to the Stage II with the field kit, but I would really prefer the silver of the SE, as I have a Roland Fantom, which is the same color.
Thanks...

I pretty sure the stage II replaced the production of the SE. If you don't like the black but like orange, check out the sweetwater solar edition.

It already has the CV out mod installed, which is not available as a DIY kit.
You may be able to contact Moog directly and see if they have a silver back left over from SE production.
Yet another option, would be to trade backs with someone. I have not opened up my SE. But if the back panel is easily removed, I am pretty sure it would be easy to find someone with a SE that would trade for the stagge II back panel. Can someone chime in on how easy it is to remove the back panel?

I'm thinking the same thing... just trying to source a SE back panel and swap them out.
I'll try an authorized repair depot for it, maybe I'll luck out... thanks.

Maybe someone on this forum would like to trade metal with you. I'm sure someone would prefer black over silver.

That's also an idea... any takers? I'd be willing to pay shipping both ways.

Does a left fender off a '59 volkswagen Thing count/tickle you fancy? i have some sheet rock that my grandfather was rewarded from his participation the Tuskeegee experiments if that helps. Any takers...? I'd be willing to sand it down to construction grade specs.

Not only does it look awesome, it will match my Taurus 3's and Roland Fantom.
