Touch Screen?

Hi
Wondering if anyone could help... I hardly ever use the TS. After updateing to 2.5 OS the TS doesnt seem to do anything anymore. I read that the initial settings (using filtering & spacing) were now disconnected and that you could assign other parameters to the TS.
I tried to change the settings but to no avail. How exactly does this work? E. g. , how would I assign the frequency of an oscillator to be changed using the TS? (as in a ribbon controller) - so that i could play melodies by using the TS?
I tried to change the settings in the menu but somehow this did not have any effect - no reaction from the TS.
Any ideas?
