For home use, or gigging?

I don't gig, so I run my Voyager thru a pair of Nady SM-250A powered studio monitors with 6" woofers, along with a Behringer Truth B2092A subwoofer. The monitors are 100 watts each, and the sub is about 350 watts. They are more than adequate for my purposes!

Welcome to the forum!

How do you like those? Ive had the pleasure of running my Micro through an 880 and I felt like the speaker was going to shatter. It just didn't put out enough lows.

The Roland Rep advised me against their own Subwoofer.

I'm wondering how they sound as well, as I have noticed a very distinct absence of frequency response specs from Roland for both the 350 and the 550.

I have an SWR WorkingPro 12 Bass combo Amp and a set of "Bose Companion 3 Series II". (that's a long name) Just picked up a Mesa Boogie Walkabout/Scout 15" that I'm going to switch on/off with my Bass and Taurus if the pedals show up anytime before spring. Then I'm stuck doing yardwork and taking care of the pool for the kiddies with all of my spare time (sob).

I first bought the 880 but took it back. The two 550s are better, definitely more bottom end and stereo separation.

Yeah, it's hard to imagine anybody getting excited about Rolands subwoofer.

For my tone I think they sound really nice, and I usually won't buy anything that doesn't have tubes in it.

The tweeters add a nice sparkle to the top that I wasn't hearing from the QSC K10 powered speakers I also tried.

I was in Guitar Center later on today, and heard a 350 doing some pretty low bass lines. It sounded pretty danged good!

My high school has one of the Roland amps with (i think) a 12" speaker, and my microkorg was making the speaker sound like it was being torn to shreds. It could not handle any bass and even with a normal digital piano it sounded like the stuff that comes out of the rear end of a Taurus. :D
I would either use a nice flat bass amp or a pa that contains a sub, preferably a portable 3-way stereo system.

The only 12" speaker in any amplifier that I know of that handles bass well is my own, hate to say... :?
