how to set the lp settings so that it can receive external midi clock?
On Page 5 of the Stage II Manual Addendum, it touches on Master Mode menus.
If you take some time to read it, I'm sure you'll be able to navigate the LP menu to the LFO/Arpeggiation clock sources. It's pretty straight forward.
