RME Voyager 3.5 OS update failed

Hi everyone,

I've owned this Voyager Rack mount for about a year using 3.3 OS.

Yesterday (2/6/10) I downloaded 3.5 OS form the Moog website and went through the update process. After the last file was initiated, the Moog Voyager Rack mount LCD screen went blank and has been ever since.

I've turned the unit off and on again ands still nothing. I was going to try the update process again, but without a display screen on the RME, that can't happen.

Can anyone help with advice here? Is there a reset process that I can do to restore the original 3.3 OS?

Thanks for reading,

Roger.

One thing to double check:

Are you certain that you downloaded and applied the correct version? There are two different downloads - one specifically for the RME and one for the keyboard versions. Please double check that you were applying the RME version. I have not yet updated my RMEs but have successfully updated my keyboard versions with no issues.

Could it be the contrast?

I know my Voyagers contrast goes black with every update.

Hi Roger,
press and hold the -1 and +1 buttons and power on the RME.
Check on MASTER page 5.1 both system versions (3.5).

Hi,

Today i turned on my voyager and the LCD screen was blank.

I haven't updated the OS.

It was working just fine last night and this morning it is not working.

I tried turning it on while holding +1 and -1 at the same time but no luck.

I d appreciate any help.

Yes it flashes but always at the same rate.
Turning the rate knob doesn't change the way it flashes.
