Hi Gang,

Although I've communicated with Amos via phone and e-mail I finally got a chance
to meet him in person at the 2010 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, California.

I was walking down the street Friday night with my good friend, John Teele, software
manager for Kurzweil, when Amos and I spotted each because we were both wearing
MOOG shirts.

The three of us (four if you count the bottle of Wild Turkey we killed) talked late into
the night about the future of both analog and digital synthesis.

The tech talk between these two geniuses was riveting and it was a thrill to be a part
of it. I can honestly say firsthand that Amos is very cool person to know.

And damn, would'nt I have liked to overhear that conversation haha.

I emailed Amos once to ask him a simple Voyager question and decided to ask him some personal questions about his work too, like how he got the job at Moog, what it's like working there, his official title, etc., and I gotta say he impressed me with his knowledge and enthusiasm. He didn't come across pretentious at all, and was really an inspiration to talk to.

I would of loved to be in on that conversation.

The few times I've e-mailed Amos, and have talked on the phone with him, he always seemed like a very nice guy, so this doesn't surprise me at all. I hope one day to visit the factory and meet him in person...if just to drop my Taurus 3's off to get the LED's switched out with blue ones.

I've spoken with Amos a couple times & can't believe a guy as busy as he is, takes the time with all of us like he does.

He is courteous, professional, & fun!

Dan, that was definitely a fun hang... very unexpected, too! You never know what's gonna go down after hours at the NAMM show.

Looking forward to the next one... for now though, it's back to work (and then some)
