But very close:
From Mike Adams, President of Moog Music

As this year comes to a close, I want to pause and thank all of you who spent your money on our gear. It's been a tough year for many, many companies but, thanks to you, Moog has come through this economic mess in fine shape. I especially want to thank those of you who purchased the guitar. Yes, it represents a departure for us but I assure you that once you play it you will understand why it truly is a "Moog". And to those of you that were expecting a Taurus under your Christmas tree… we were so very close to making this happen but it will not. Everyone on our team is pushing hard, the prototype sounds 'grrrrreat' and it will happen early next year. Thank you for your patience.

God Bless You All and Thank You,

Mike Adams

No worries, Moog. Take your time and have a nice holiday.

Get it right...that's all I care about. The MP-201 had its issues in the first release...I expect my Taurus III's to be 100% flawless. If I need to wait until March, so be it. Just make sure it's the bass synth we all expect it to be. Cheers, and everyone have a safe and happy New Year.

Well, like every product in the world, it is bound to have some bugs on first release. Plus, a company like Moog usually does not rush a product out. I am not worried. I am sure that there will be some bugs upon release. But they will get ironed out. Besides, the MP-201 was not that buggy upon release. Most everything did work as advertised on day one. Of course, there were many that wanted additional features that it was not advertised to do. To me, that is not a bug.

I haven't had any experience with the MP-201 yet, but I'm certainly of the opinion that I'd rather wait a bit and get the pedals when they're ready.

So... Moog Music... take as much time as you need :)
