Please Help - MP-201 MIDItoCV
Posted: Tue Dec 15, 2009 11:50 pm
Greetings.
I have a MP-201 and a Voyager Old School and I am having trouble getting the MIDI-CV feature working on the MP. I'm sure that I'm doing something wrong and I'm hoping that one of you guys can help me out. I'm actually rather new to MIDI because I've stayed away from it for so long. Here's what I've got going on:
I'm using Logic Pro. I have an "External MIDI" track with a sequence looping. The device selected for this track is the MP-201 and the channel is set to 1.
The MP-201 is connected to my Mac via USB. CV1 is connected to the "Pitch" Control Input on the Voyager OS. CV2 is connected to the "ENV Gate" on the OS. The "Env. Gate" switch on the OS is set to "On/External." The MP-201 is set to Preset 34 and the display reads MIDItoCV.
When I play back the sequence I can see the MIDI activity light blink in time with the notes in the sequence. But I've got nothing coming out of CV1 or CV2.
I must be missing something obvious here. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to hold my hand as I fumble through this.
