If you have a VOS in excellent or better condition (I'm talking with no technical flaws and only the most minute cosmetic wear) that you're willing to part with, please PM me.

I have a few items on offer as well if you're interested in trades (CS-15, Pro-One, Prophet'08 ).

Located in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.

I wish you find one. This machine was SO the right one for me. I must say their going out of production rushed me into buying one over a Performer I had planned for a little while later. It was a smart move.

The Voyager OS is great! I don't think I would part with mine for anything. I would suggest to check out Novamusik.com to see what deals they are offering. They gave me a fantastic deal on my VOS.

I would certainly check out Nova if I were in the US, but alas....

Nova*Musik seems to still have them. You can get an openbox Whitewash OS for about $2,200 or a shrink wrapped one for $2,400.

No shipping, no tax, no nonsense, I bought everything I own from them (except the refrigerator : )

Email "Chuck" at info@novamusik.com and tell 'em Mike W. from NJ sent ya'.

Nova does ship to Canada. I just got off the phone with them, and was quoted the following. (Since I didn't have your postal code, he just picked a random one in the Ontario area, so your mileage may vary just a bit. I'm assuming he's quoting US dollars, he didn't specify.)

Expedited shipping to Burlington, Ontario is $82.31 plus import fees. About 2 days faster than UPS ground, and no brokerage fees.

Standard UPS ground is 58.20 plus $31 in brokerage fees plus import fees.

He also told me that the open box White Wash OS is brand new.

Go for it!

Make that a CS-80, and you'll have OS #5.

I love Moog Audio. They're good guys (I bought my Prophet'08 and my Future Retro XS from them and the transactions were 100% painless), but at the moment I'm looking to buy used and save a few bucks, if possible.

While I'm very willing to concede that Nova is a good company to deal with (I've heard nothing but positives about them), you said the magic word: UPS.

I loathe UPS. I'm a purchaser by profession and I specify other carriers wherever possible. For personal purchases, whenever I buy used gear from abroad I always tell people to ship USPS, FedEx, Purolator - anything but UPS. I find their brokerage fees to be absurd and their staff to be at best inconsistent (and at worst downright rude).

I just can't bring myself to do business with a firm that ships internationally using UPS.

Wow, I did not expect that (and I kept silent about the matter) but these are my thoughts exactly. US to Canada with UPS is a no go for me. I will not consider purchasing from a US company or individual that can only ship UPS. Their brokerage fees are based on absolutely nothing and I have had miserable experience in the past. Other carriers have fared better (Puro not always), but I find for an individual purchasing from a US company, USPS is the easiest and smoothest way to get the goods across the border. From government agency to government agency, they are competing with the carriers after all, and their own paperwork involve only a single tiny little package declaration form, entirely free of charge to both parties, to be filled.

That's lousy (the UPS bit).

But... Nova will likely ship using a different method if this is a big issue for you, or cover the costs (I'm guessing).

As mentioned (and EricK can comment on this as well), these guys are very responsive and flexible. I've purchased things that were setup as packages and they've swapped out pieces that I had already, etc.

If there's another retailer that is better to deal with by Canada, then by all means go for it! And do it quickly, Old Schools will not be around forever and I'm guessing that the outfits that pre-bought a fair inventory of custom colors, etc. have the lion's share of what's left.

(frankly, though, I'm perplexed by this... last February, I bought two $2,400 pinball machines from Toronto and they shipped it to me with zero in tariff, tax and very very reasonable shipping... about $160 each and they weight 300 lbs each and are the size of a small refrigerator.. is this Nafta at work or is it Canada that doesn't want U.S. product shipped into Canada?)

Chuck was a dream to talk to on the phone...he offered unspeakable deals on whitewash select voyagers. Seriously, no much more than what OS is listed at everywhere else.

Also, they're honoring the open box (whitewash OS) price on sealed units: $2099

$.02

I WILL comment on this.

Nova sold my my Voyager Ash Lunar/Vx351 for 2999.
They sold my father a Fantom G8 for 2999. (With a tshirt, coffee, a nice computer bag and a jump drive and Novamusik thermos.

If Nova offers it and you need it, go there. I don't know how they do it but as long as they are, my sweetwater rep is screwed.

Oh yeah, I got the t-shirt, coffee mug, and coffee thrown in. I think that was a great little package to throw in to stay awake for the late first night.
