Singing through the Voyager

I'm trying to create a certain vocal effect, similar to what Frampton did with the talkbox. Would I get this when I plug a microphone into the Voyager?
And in general for other vocoding effects: is the Voyager a good tool for that or should I try something like the Korg Radias better?

The Voyager is definitely not going to do vocoding. Weird FX for vox, sure, but you need more than 1 bandpass for vocoding.
If you want a talk-box sound, you should get a talkbox (or make one, it'd cost you about ten bucks in parts), and use it with the voyager.

This is no vocoder, but read my mini primer on audio and guitar processing with the Voyager. You can get pretty impressive results with an expression pedal and an audio signal carrying voice. It's only the basics, controlling the filter and modulating it. In a later installment, if I get to do it, I'll explain how to trigger gates and envelopes with audio signals, use a sequencer to control filters, and other cool stuff.

I have been doing all sort of vocoding/vocal processing with synths, and I'd like to learn anything new and/or share tips and tricks.

Yes, please share your tips too.
I am pursuing my exploration of all things Voyager can do. I'll rewrite this text a bit better, and have enough material for 3 more chapters on guitars, and specific chapters on voice (been playing with mikes for the last week) and a couple on audio at large, one which is about polyphony. If only I can get enough time to write this all down. But I'll do.
The Voyager is a totally amazing piece of gear. The best I ever bought. I am so thrilled. I don't regret the OS a single bit, it was right for me and I knew of the limitations. For what I am experiencing with atm however, the midi-Voyager would give me very interesting options. I kind of hope my dealer's xmas special will be about the Voyager this year. Last year's was on the LP, and that started a big ball rolling
