AUDIO INPUT question

Hi all,
I need to plug a new synth on my live gears and I would like to use the Audio Input of the Voyager, like that I don't need a small mixer ...
But, I've tried to have the audio input always open, without playing notes on the voyager keyboard ... not possible for the moment.

I've tried to use the Librarian software from soundTower to simply open the Audio input, no success, all the mode available ( gate In , out, etc .) are useless in my case.

any idea ?
can it be possible ?

thank you all

This is not the intended use for this audio input. The input is not meant to function as a little mixer. It passes the input into the voltage controlled filter and amplifier. And as on all synths that got such an input, you need to trigger the envelopes to open the voltage controlled amp.

There is a audio trough function on some synth like the Waldorf Q available to add the incoming audio to the audio signal out put of the second synth without altering or even triggering it. But I don't know of other peoples ever talking about using this somewhat hidden function.

So get yourself a little mixer to solve the problem.

The absolute least expense way is one of these...

(I use an older DOD unit.)

thank you "just me" , in that case I will certainly built a simple 2in/1out myself ... a simple capacitor will do it perfectly... like that I can choose the box !

Passive mixer, gah! With a few more components and an op amp you could have an active one.

Passive has 2 advantages:
1 It's very inexpensive when you are just short 1 or 2 inputs.
2 It makes no noise.

There are no caps in the DOD resistance mixers. A cap will color the sound!
