I just bought another Minimoog Model D. I shouldn't have, but I can't help myself.

Does anybody know what to do about the "varnish" on Mod Wheel cover when it gets cloudy. I have seen pictures of them after stripping and then after re-varnishing, but there is no mention of what materials to use.

Also, I need to clean the bus bars to get rid of the low note search "howl". I had always used isopropl alcohol, but I was recently told that this is not the stuff to use. Any suggestions?
