Little Phatty Editor Librarian

Greetings All,
I'm new to the forum as I recently purchased a LP Stage II with blue led's a couple weeks ago. I've now got a bunch of presets I'd like to store on my Mac so I'm researching editor/librarians for the LP.

It looks like there is an Editor Librarian available from Moog directly. Does anyone here use it? Have any pro's or con's to share? I'll be using it with MAC OSX 10.4.11 and Leopard 10.5.8 (location depending).

I read a few older threads on the forum and reviews seems to be mixed. So I thought I'd start a new thread to see if there were any current opinions on the Editor from Moog or if there is a better option available elsewhere.

Thanks,
Chris

I use SysEx Librarian. It is free and easy to use. It doesn't let you edit patches on the computer (just store and load), but that isn't really my thing.

Thanks for the responses.
Do you just do a sysex dump of all presets 0-99 ? If so, then could I just do a sysex dump into any midi sequencer, ie, ProToos, Cubase, Logic etc?

Still curious if anyone has any insight regarding the Moog Editor.

Thanks All,
Chris

I got the Moog editor for free when I got my LP. I don't really use it a great deal. But it acts quite well as a library for presets. You can file and organize them as you see fit.

If you don't want to pay though, SysEx Librarian works just as well.

The only major thing that the Moog editor can do over it is the editing of patches on the computer. I'm pretty sure you can download a demo version of it though, if you aren't sure.
