Hi guys,

I am going to be buying a 2nd hand LP stage 2 and am told by the seller that the oscillator/ waveform control is intermittent, but is fixable with a software update. Has anyone had this problem before? i don't know what software version it is, but it's about 1 year old.

Six days and no reply? I suppose you are talking about the knob..

Here's my two cents.

a) The Osc/waveform knob controls all parameters in the Oscillator section. If it is intermittent for the wave form, it should show on other parameters as well, although there is more circuitry down the line, so there is a possibility the problem resides elsewhere.
b) Knobs are not intermittent by design
c) If a knob (or else) is intermittent/defective, the solution is a hardware fix, not software.
d) Some people say anything to sell their stuff, defective or not
