Hello, I just picked up a LP yesterday and when I plugged it into my mixer using the audio out, there is no sound. Upon plugging the cord into the headphone jack, everything works great though. Any advice?

Thanks =)

Is the "Output On/Off" button lit up? You're sure the cable is good?

no signal regardless of whether output on/off is lit up. same cable works fine with the headphone jack. oh well, it was only $700 on ebay!

Give Moog a call. They're really helpful.

Don't give up, that's a terrific little synth you got there.

FWIW : believe it or not, it's been my experience that some of my cables (high quality ones, bought at a guitar store) don't work well with the LP, and at least two other synths. I sure don't have a logical explanation for this, but that's a fact. I pulled enough hair over that to be sure of that. Switching to Hosa audio cables solved my problems. I use only those on synths now. Some cheap ones I bought at Radio Schack are working well too.

Do the same cables work for other gear?

If so you definitely have a problem and need to contact Moog.

I tried 2 different types of 1/4" cables that are working fine with my monitors and mixer. Agaiin., the headphone out works fine. I'll be sending it in for the upgrade, so I'm hoping the techs can clear this issue up as well.

Yeah, they're really cool about stuff like that. With any luck it's a loose ribbon cable or something simple like that. :wink:
