Should Moog Build this MoogerFooger?

This is my design:

Image
This features an Audio only Mixer with a CV input to modulate the output volume and features 4 audio inputs and 2 Audio outputs for the possibillity of stereo or other variable voltage destinations via amplitude modulation.

It is also hardwired to (but can be disconnected from via a switch) an envelope generator. That envelope can be triggered independantly. The envelopes feature the standard in/out config.

The goodies are a dual trigger delay which gives you some of the extra perks more commonly found on a custom Moog modular system or on the System 55. This will allow you to delay triger signals either in parallel or couple them together.

The next module is the Envelope follower which was also a perk of the custom systems and the 55. Moog already makes these circuits int he 107 and the 101, but having one seperate from those is a benefit when processing non synth based instruments.

I opted for extra CV's rather than the CV to Midi conversion to keep it all analog.

Now as Kevin pointed out to me, the Dual Trigger Delay was usually on the left sidfe of 2 envelope generators in the big modulars, thus making my signal flow backwards. My placement of modules starting with the envelopes is consistant with the order of the 901 series modules. See moogarchives for more details.
Kevin also stated to me that since I used a non production Envelope follower (from Moog Archives) as my model for this design, the unlabled potentiometer could be removed and the space used to feature a Moog Logo and model number for this module.

Just because I couldn't resist, I submitted this to Moog months ago.

WHat are your opinions of this device?

Respectfully,

Eric

(Naturally, I voted Yes!)

Yes here too! The 2 envelopes would be great. Trigger delays, etc.

Nice work.

I voted yes because I think it is a great idea, even though I'm probably going to put something similar together in Eurorack modular form.

I think this would play nicely with a Little Phatty if those factory mods are ever offered, allowing you to have a Gate output on your LP to trigger these envelopes.

I also voted yes because I think it a great idea. To be honest, I am not sure I want to build an entire modular witth foogers but its certainly an option expecially for those like me with foogers. I may hower be looking to build a much larger eurorack system.

The one thing that foogers lack are triggers and envelopes so nice work. I think this would sell and I would be tempted to buy one.

I voted I don't have a need for it right now.

(I just bought a modular system and now have 2 Q118 instument interfaces, 2 Q108 VCAs, 1 Q112 4 channel mixer, 2 Q109 envelope generators, a Q106 oscillator and 2 different filters (Q150 transistor ladder filter and Q107 state variable filter.) It also has 3X4 or 1X4 and 1X8 multiples.)
Kinda the same thing in a biiger case.
I use a 251 for the lag processor, LFO, more multiples (Can't have enough) VC mixer and invertable attenuators.

A Mooger Fooger modular MUST be done! Two of this module, along with six 107's, two 101's, a 102 and 103, and two CP-251's as well as a controller of some kind would be simply amazing! Of course, it would be more practical if CtrlShft's designs were implemented for the 'Foogers. Like, make all the 'Foogers CP-251 style.

i voted yes... i would probably buy a cp251 first then this.
im not sure which i like better yours or the one ctrlshift made a while back maybe a mix of the two?

Why is there no option in this poll for "I would preorder a year ahead if I could". :)

I'm a little concerned about the name, it might not sell with the name CP-255. :P

What does it do exactly?

Sign me up! Great idea!

I called it the CP255 as a homage to the System 55 since the envelopes and the dual trigger delay and such are featured primarily in the system 55

Also because IM hoping that they are developing the 252 +.

Eric

Lets keep this going and maybe they will build it.

I voted yes, but I'm pretty sure they won't build that
