Hello,
(Sorry for my english, but I am a french Moog fan).

I am looking for a step sequencer for the minimoog old school.
I read that some people have the mfb step 64 which seems to be fine with the os.

But, before buying, i would like to be sure that I understand how it connects with the os :

the CV out (of MFB) to the pitch control input (of OS) ??

the gate out (of MFB) to the gate in (of OS)? but there is 2 « gate in » on the OS ( one « S&H » and one « env » ): Which should I use?

Of course, I would like to use only a step sequencer withe the os (without any external stuff like interface gate/midi...)
Is it really possible?

And what do you think about the Future retro orb?
Is it possible to use it directly with the OS? (without any other inteface)

Step64 CV1 out to OS PITCH jack
Step64 Gate1 out to OS ENV GATE jack
No other interfaces required

Also, in mode 1, the Step64 allows you to control 3 additional CV functions on the OS via the back panel jacks....volume, pan, filter, wave, etc...

The Orb will work with the OS. I have a Future Retro 777 that I use as a cv/gate sequencer for my sh-101. I believe the orb is basically an updated/redesigned Mobius, where the Mobius is a 777 without the synthesizer. I am sort of checking it out the orb myself.

Future Retro sequencers are similar to the old Roland sequencers. I think of it as a cross between a TR-x0x and a TB-303 sequencer. After all, the 777 was marketed as a TB-303 clone, although it doesn't quite sound the same and goes far beyond the TB-303.
