Do I need to use a DI for my moogerfooger or can I plug it straight to my audio interface?

If you are just using the Audio out, you shoudl be able to control the signal but I don't think it would be a great idea to run like an Osc out on the Freq or Ringmod or something because it can cause damage and it will probably redline the hell out of a computer.
Which FOoger are you using?

It's the MF101 and I'm using Audio Out. I'm not having problems with the volume. I'm just worried about thinning of the sound as heard when plugging an ordinary guitar pedal directly into a line-in input.

MF-101 can be used w/ a line level input - output impedance is <1Kohm
Note the "nominal" output level (when drive LED is orange & no clipping) is -4dBm - so YMMV depending on what interface you're using and how much gain you'll need @ the input.
Happy moogerfooging...
