Recording a MuRF stereo

Hey folks. I was wondering if anyone knew how to record the MuRF's stereo capabilities (so half the sequenced filters come out the right speaker, the other half come out the left speaker). So far, all I can figure out is how to play live the MuRF's filters in stereo by using two separate amps.

i don't understand the question fully, but here is an attempt at an answer....

you need 2 channels for it.. each output in to each channel, then pan one each way...

what recording software/ hardware are you using?

I'm using a Mackie Mixer, which has the two stereo input and output channels I need, but my sound card (Sound Blaster Audigy) into the computer seems to only have one line input, so when it records, it can only record one of those two output channels, which has always been my left/mono channel. Therefore, I can't record the MuRF's ability to send half its filters to the right channel and the other half to the left channel.

then you may need new hardware.

i am going fom memory, but the line in for the Audigy should be a Stereo mini jack, for 2 channels. I used one years ago to import stereo minidisc recordings....

You need a cable that has two 1/4 inch mono plugs on one end and a 1/8-inch stereo plug on the other. The input on the Audigy should be stereo.

Hosa makes such a cable, as does Monster and others.

Keep in mind that when the MuRF is bypassed, you'll have no signal coming out of the right side. I found this out the hard way when recording back in January.
