Murf power supply question?

I got my used Murf in the mail last week (along with the phaser and ring mod) and have been reading their manuals, toying about, etc.

In the Murf manual, it states that the Murf uses a different power supply than other Moogerfoogers. I am looking at the power supplies that came with my Moogerfoogers and they are absolutely positively the same (as far as labeling in concerned).

Please help, very confused!

Well, this IS confurglgating. According to the PDF, it requires at least 300mA, but the website states that it ships with a 200mA supply. :? Very odd.

Craps! God forbid I have to pick up a phone over this! LOL!

I wondered the same thing myself a while back. Mine was the same as the rest too and I have used it for over a year now with no problems.

I imagine it is fine to have a higher Milliamp rating (more available current to draw from), but lower might not provide enough juice to power it properly at it's full energy usage levels.

My guess is that it was cheaper to order in bulk and have the same power supplies for all of them and/or there would be no issues with keeping track of which supply goes to which pedal.

You may want to use a regulated supply for the MuRFs, as they contain digital circuits.

I measured the current draw for all the Moogerfoogers, the MuRFs came out at 220mA. You'd probably use a 300mA supply to be safe.

When I got my MuRF about 18 months ago, it shipped with a 300mA power supply.

I'd contact Moog tech support about it and let them know that there is conflicting information and that you'd like a 300mA power supply. The manual goes to great pains to ensure that one uses a power supply with sufficient amperage, so it would seem that they should correct the misinformation on the web site.

If anyone received a MuRF with the wrong supply, perhaps Moog would trade for a proper one?

I bought my Murf new several months ago, It came with a 200mA power supply and it hums. All of my other Foogers including the 104z are dead quiet.

My phaser shipped with a 300mA supply. The ring mod I have came with a 200mA supply, and my CP-251 came with a 300mA supply. They must have mixed 'em up at the factory. :?
