New Mooger chiming in

Hi all,
I just wanted to drop in and say hello. I hang out on the HC KSS forum a lot, but since I am the proud owner of a new Voyager Signature Lunar with the classic ash cabinet I thought I would take a gander over here and introduce myself.
I am a 43-year old music hobbyist, both acoustic and electronic. I have played guitar since age 12 but have always been interested in electronic music, sound manipulation, recording, and audio signal processing and engineering. I got into keys and synths several years ago as one of too many hobbies and liked it so much that I started taking real piano lessons last fall.
Daytime I work R&D in the Display and Graphics Business Laboratory at 3M Company here in Minnesota. We are on break for two weeks now so I am getting some much-needed R-n-R, which is great for family and musical fun.
I am still in the process of getting to know my new Voyager and am really enjoying the visceral experience of the big knobs, touch pad, and sound combined with the electronic controls admitted by the operating system. I am finding that this synth really encourages me to play - sometimes for hours (... and suddenly it is two hours later, the kids are going to bed, and I have to plug in the headphones, heh). Today I am sending out my form for the CP-251 that Moog is giving away with purchase until the end of the month. I am planning on expanding the system as time goes on; first stop will be the ring modulator. I have some nice digital and analog effects already.
