I gave my Moog powerpoint presentation today. Of corse I was the only one who really cared about it, and I said so.
Some people were definately interested, but I think i touched one person there who I don't th8ink had ever heard of such a thing.
Thanks to Kevin for the graphics and Roger Luther from Moog Archives for allowing me the use of his images.
If any of you can imagine, the teacher said that she thinks that im a little too passionate about it.
SHe has no Idea.

little too passionate about it.
As opposed to being apathetic?
Maybe if you lose some of that passion, you can be a teacher too.

I don't mean to be a downer, but any materials I provided Eric were for educational purposes in class only.

Perfectly understandable. We are not worthy of your knowledge anyway, wise master.

(And I'm completely serious about that...not being a smart aleck, Kevin.)

I did a Power Point presentation in college about the history of synthesizers.
Most of the class seemed bored.
I also wrote a formal request to the dean to fund a full modular synthesizer for the Electronics Wing of the campus.
I also did an entire presentation in a theater on the Clavia Nord Modular G2 synthesizer, trying to convince people that Electronic Engineering and synthesis go hand in hand.... blah, blah , blah. (pictures from that actually made the school newspaper)
Congrats on your presentation. I am sure it was great.

I would love to see it.
But if there is material of "our" well known Kevin involved, why not thinking about offering it to Moog for a little compensation?
I am sure we all would learn some new things from that one. Or see pictures never seen before (yes, I am a gear-spotter!).
But I would of cause understand Kevin, if there are pictures not suited to be published public.

Actually let me clarify.
I don't think that my presentation woudl meet your expectations lol. Remember this was just for my college Intro To COmputers Class, so there were a lot of things that I left out like Switched on Bach and things...
THe only thing from Kevin that I used was a Moog logo and so real die hard Moog connisseurs like myself woudl probably have found it lacking.
All of the images were taken from MoogArchives and basically it just covers the Theremin, the earliest Modulars, the Mini Prorotypes, some of the later keyboards, the MoogerFoogers, the Voyager, the LP, and includes some sound samples that I did and my voice narration.
I had to leave a bunch of stuff out because the teacher just wanted a few slides and mine ended up being more like an 11 minute lecture.
I think most of you woudl be like..."He didn't cover this and that"
If I get the opportunity to make a video and put it on youtube then Ill link to it.
