Keyboard CV getting stuck on random notes.

Hi.
I have a strange problem with my 1 week-old Voyager Electric Blue :(.

Sometimes (quite frequently) when I play the keyboard, suddenly a random pitch starts playing and doesn't stop (as if that key was constantly pressed, although no key is actually pressed). This is not necessarily one of the notes that I am playing, but sometimes it is. It seems totally random. It is always a "tonal" pitch (never out of tune or anything) - that is, one of the 12 pitches in an octave, but it could be in any octave - even those which are out of the keyboard's current range.

You can hear what happens in this link (notice the long note that starts playing at some point). The keyboard still works afterwards (notes play and then return to the held note. After I play some more notes it usually changes pitch to a new note).

This does not happen with MIDI. Only with the local keyboard.
I have tried a factory reset with no success.

Any ideas?

Hi,
it sounds like a hanging note from the keyboard. Can you stop the hanging note when you hit the MASTER button?

Thanks, Rudi!

Indeed, hitting Master stops the note from playing.
However - the problem is not necessarily caused by the same note each time. All of the notes cause it at some point.

You should contact Amos - I guess there's a hardware problem.

Hi odedd,

I am also guessing it is a problem with the keyscan hardware in your Voyager. Where are you located?

Hi Amos.

I'm in Israel. Is there a way we could remotely locate the problem?

Thanks,
Oded.

I am having the same problem with my Little Phatty..it seems very random and only happens when the unit *so far it seems* has been on for over an hour.

I am currently located in Italy..anything I can do? ..like opening the LP and cleaning it? :) thanks in advance!
