What length patch cables have you found to be the best for keeping the clutter manageable? Straight connectors or angled? Do you guys run your foogers in series even when they are not all being used?

Personally, I use straight connectors on my CP-251. When interconnecting my MF-102 and 103, I use 90 degree angle connectors. As for length, I use an 8 inch cable that goes from Carrier Out from 102 to Audio In to 103. For the 251, I use lengths ranging from 2-12 inches. I also use 3 foot TRS Hosa brand cables for my homemade CV box. Hope I helped!
Minitaur, CP-251, EHX #1 Echo, EHX Space Drums/Crash Pads, QSC GX-3, Pyramid stereo power amp, Miracle Pianos, Walking Stick ribbon controller, Synthutron.com, 1983 Hammond organ, dot com modular.
That does help, thanks!Voltor07 wrote:Personally, I use straight connectors on my CP-251. When interconnecting my MF-102 and 103, I use 90 degree angle connectors. When racked, will a 12" straight cable connect from the left foogers 'audio out' to the right foogers 'audio in' if I decide to take the middle one out of the chain?ColorForm2113 wrote:i prefer to use all straight cables for cv connections, most are 12". and i always keep my foogers in the chain because i like the little bit of drive i get from my LP and Ringmod.

Update:
Found some cheapo patch cables around the pad which ended up being the perfect fit. They have right angle connectors and measure 7.5" from end to end (connector shell included in measurement).
They seemed to be the perfect fit for the audio ins/outs when the foogers are racked (just enough extra play to not get in the way of the CV connections) so I custom ordered two mogami cables of the same length. I'll just get some hosa cables for the CV connectors based on the feedback elsewhere in this forum.
***update is just a reference for anyone who may view this thread in the future.
