OS 2.1 - pitch bend repair

Post by martin » Fri May 14, 2004 4:24 am

Hi
Has anyone attempted the pitch bend issue repair as described in the OS 2.1 notes? I would like to try to fix it but am a bit afraid I might screw it up. How difficult is the operation really? Any help is appreciated
Thanks

Hi Martin,

its not a repair. Its an adjustment.

I done it. And many other non technician Moog Voyager users did so as well without a problem.
If you keep the instruction next to your Voyager and do it step by step, it an max 3 min issue. And its worth the efford. OS 2.1 is way better then 1.5 and even better then 2.0.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

It's easier than it sounds. Just unscrew and lift the wheel thingy and adjustable pots are there.

Thanks for your help. I managed to do this without any problems. However, when I toggle through the options for PB range (semitone, 2 semitones, etc) the notes still shift upwards. I mean, the intervals seem to be ok, but if you play a C pr whatever, it's slightly higher when you're at the last setting before user defined PB. User defined PB has the note ok again. (hope I am being clear, it's a bit hard to describe...)

I followed the instructions in the notes and the PB reading says 0. Did I miss a step or is this a bug?

Please help, as this is rather annoying...
Thanks!

Did you adjust it to read minus one, then slowly the other way until it reads zero?

Thanks for your replies. I have follwed the instructions and have set it to -1 and then slowly to o. the result is ok between 0 and a fifth, but reaching approx. the octave mark, the base note always drifts, and by the time it reaches tha max settin for PB, it is a semitone up. Should I worry?
Please help...
Thanks!

Hmm, this is still not working after the adjustment which i follwed step by step, also after setting it to -1 and then to 0. Does anyone know how to fix this or if this is a bug?
Thanks
