Loss of Front Panel Filter Controls

Post by Kevin Bowden » Fri May 07, 2004 9:51 am

Hi,

Just thought I'd share a problem with you all - Moog Techs are on to it but I'm happy to listen to anything anyone has to say prior to putting the unit into Turnkey (UK) for 'repair'.

MMV Sig #82 was working fine with OS v1.5. Upgraded to v2.0 but didn't play with the thing much. Upgraded to v2.1 and subsequently found that the Cutoff, Spacing and Resonance knobs no longer have an affect on the audio. They still show values changing in the Real Time Parameter display though.

The filter can still be controlled from the Touchpad and other control sources.

The only thing that makes me a bit suspicious is that Filter Cutoff, Spacing and Resonance are three of the Destinations which appear in the default Pot Mapping maps supplied within v2.x OS. This may be one of those spooky coincidences.

Any thoughts/advice/investigation tips welcome.

Regards,

Kev B

just one thing:
try to look if these controls are assigned to other controls into the Pot mapping.
As a matter of fact, when a pot is mapped on another pot, you loose direct control on the original pot the same way happens to you.

by the way this is just an hipothesys
