presets sometimes don't change

Sometimes when I turn on the LP and turn the knob, the presets don't change. The names do, but not any of the lights or settings. Sometimes I can get it to respond by turning the knob back and forth a few times. Same thing happens when in the performance set mode. This seems like a bug. Yes?

Try pushing in on the selection knob. I rarely take advantage of Performance Mode, but I vaguely recall pushing the knob in to change the settings. Otherwise, I have never encountered this problem.

Yesterday same thing happened to me. I was playing in performance mode, but when i changed in preset mode, turning value knob didn't change preset, only name but same sound!
So i came back to performance mode, pushed value knob to recall performance and i passed in preset mode again: this time all worked ok... a bug of OS 2.0???
Anyway, this strange thing happended only one time (at home, fortunately)!!! I'm playing live with my phatty by many days and during the show never happened this (..and i don't play Lucky Man!!!

).

I have not seen this bug before. And I thought I had seen them all!
Bill or Guiseppe: was any MIDI connected to the LP when this was happening?
Thanks,
Amos

Amos... some rebellious Phattyes...
No midi connected when that problem occurred.

This also happens on my Tribute,
OS v 1.03
When I turn it on, the screen displays 00 and says preset active, but there is no preset name. Turning the value knob just makes the number change. Then if I play the keyboard for a minute or two it will eventually snap out of it and go to the presets.

No MIDI was connected at all. The other night at a gig, I could not get the performance set to work at all - had to do all changes from the preset mode.
A couple days later I turned it on and again no performance mode changes. Then I messed around with the knob and the cursor button to change to performance 4 and presets did change. After that it seemed to work normally
I'd like to send it in but it seems to me an intermittent problem might be difficult to diagnose.

Somehow I missed this in the manual - press in on the value knob! Never had a keyboard where this was even an option - this is a first. All is well. Thanks for all the help

I guess these boards are not read by Moog staffers very much?

Hi Bill, sorry for the lack of response... I haven't been around much lately; been very busy with the release of the Multipedal this past few weeks.
I do think there is a subtle bug happening related to performance sets; we'll look into it as we work on the OS2 for the LP Tribute. If we find the source of the bug it should be easy to correct in the Stage Edition also.
Thanks very much for your help with this!

Actually, I did listen but my LP was at the rehearsal space, time went by etc. When I first read it I thought to myself - but my pot doesn't click in . . . Then I forgot, then I vaguely remembered your post and one day while cleaning up the studio I opened the manual and there it was = although I would have printed that particular oddity in bold type.
