Hello,
I have enjoyed the music shared by some on this forum, and so I have decided to share one of my own for what it is worth.
I wrote this song using My MMV and a Juno 106.
I was inspired by some of you, and I hope you enjoy.

Thanks for the compliment. Without getting too carried away I have decided to post another tune at the other end of the spectrum, I hope you all like it as well. Anyway, it uses the MMV and some other synths listed.

Once again, be patient for the song to load...press stop if you have to while it loads a little.

Thats awesome dude. Both tracks are really good. Can you give some feedback of how they were recorded (sequencer, processors, etc)? I find it interesting to learn how people have incorprated the Moog into their studio given all the Softsynth love these days. I actually haven't had a chance to record anything, to busy creating sounds/patches.

Hello Monads,
I am glad you like the songs, thank you for the feedback.
I record with hardware synths mostly even though I have a few good soft-synths. I recorded the Solar Pilot using the MMV and a Juno 106. I recorded the Mini first into Cubase SX using a Motu 828 and my G4 laptop. I used the proprietary effects in Cubase such as Mod delay and Reverb "A"...I created a type of Echoplex effect using a very long delay with some modulation (I was inspired by MoogMuse). I then record ed a second track using the Juno and some delay and reverb and Phaser, and I accented on top of my improvisation. I then dumped the track to an Aiff file and transferred it into my Big G4 which runs OSX and OS9.2.2, and I mastered the mix-down in Peak using Waves L1 Ultramaximizer set to final mastering, after I normalize the track to about 75 percent. I did very little EQ adjusment. I then do the fadeout and thats it.
As for the second song called "Moog Lambada", I used my Korg Trinity as the sequencer (as I do for almost all of my songs) and I use the internal drum kits and the Prophecy bank for the bass line (again, this is the norm for me). I also use some padding from the trinity. Everything else is driven by the Trinity, like the ESQ-1 (which sounds great recorded because of its filters). When I have all of my parts composed on all of the synths and into the sequencer on the Trinity I dump the audio into Cubase SX (that is what I am using on my laptop even though I normally use Logic 6) and follow the same procedure. I use delays set to the tempo of the Trinity in Cubase and I listen and adjust reverb and do a mixdown to Aiff, then to Peak. The last step for me is always The L1 Ultra Maximizer set to final mastering.
I rarely use any sequencing in the computer because the Trinity is a simple interface and it gets the job done well.
Anyhow, I hope that gives you some insight. I have posted some more songs because I happen to be in the process of building my Home Page. So here are three more songs.

That's some very good insight. Thanks. I do most of my sequencing on Logic 6. My keyboard technique isn't the greatest so I use alot of Midi programming. You have quite a nice collection. Keep those cool tracks coming!

It would be fun to have a "Moog Drop Box Society".
A place for moog users to share moog tunes freely
