Ok so I just got a little phatty stage 2 and I need to get a good stand. I use a roland pk-5 with my little phatty so an x stand is out of the question.

try a Z stand?

also regarding your other question about how low you can play using the Little Phatty with your bass pedals... try setting the LP oscillators to their lowest setting [16'] and set up the Roland pedals to play the lowest note they can put out (there is probably some kind of transpose option on the pedals) -- I reckon it will go pretty low!

I realize this is OT, but does your new Stage II have a giant sticker on the front panel for it's graphics?

I'm not sure, it doesn't look like it but it might be, I don't want to try to pull on it just in case!

I've used this for about six months now and I love how sturdy it is. I moved the upper brace all the way up and my LP sits on the very top of the stand. It's great for live shows--it holds a LP and RADIAS and doesn't wobble at all. I think it's designed so that the more weight put on, the steadier it becomes. I'd buy locally though because it weighs a ton and shipping would be another ton.

I have a Hammond xk-1 and a Roland Fantom x6 as well as my lp. I was origionaly going to set them up in a v with 2 stands but if I can get all three on one that would be great.

i also have the Apex stand.... i really like it. The limitations are of weight only, as far as I know... you can purchase additional brackets so that you can have three tiers... just watch out for tipping!... they also sell "extended" length brackets for the wider/deeper keyboards.

My LP sits on the top tier, and my old Oberheim Matrix 6 is on the bottom. I have it set in the studio at a pretty low height (you can adjust/move the built-in handle on the Apex with a screwdriver), so the LP controls are still at a comfortable height when seated at my workstation.

I'm thinking of buying an Apex and I have a some questions for its users. Do you use the normal brackets or the larger ones or does the phatty rest on the vertical column at the very top? Is it comfortable to play the phatty on it while playing on the other tier? I doubt the phatty was made to put on an stand like this. Pedal keyboards are not compatible with the ultimate, are they?
