Comic Book collection to raise money for Voyage...

Post by EricK » Sat Jun 14, 2008 11:50 am

Talk about Moog Depression, I have spent many many hours trying to come up with a solution to figure out how I can fanangle a voyager. Ill look at the pictures, Ill go to sweetwater and add the Select and the vx351 to my cart, Ill lurk these forums, Ill go to the product page, flip to the Voyager in catalogs, and invision the growing synth rack that Im building and how wonderful it woudl be to control it with the Voyager.

After many hours of deliberation, I have reached my decision:

Ive decided that Im going to sell my comics to raise money for a Voyager.

Ive got some choise comic books over the last 15 years, many first appearances like Wolverine, Sabretooth, Punisher, Venom, Rogue Psylocke, Jubilee, Wolverine Miniseries, All of the Death and funeral of Superman and more in various conditions. After I get some graded with the CGC Im going to begin my voyage for a Voyager.

Ive also got a dozen or so unopened figures, card sets and a Michael Jordan Plaque from before the first time he retired.

With Luck, Ill add the Voyager to my list in the near future.

Eric,

I hope you do end up getting a Vger, but those comic books are rising in value while a Vger will have depreciation.
It's like tapping into a savings account to buy food, though it would appear you're very hungry here also. ;-)

True...but that's business not making music/art.

Anything else you could sell?

Caution.
Be on the lookout for a person driving a 95 Ford Escort.
He's armed, wearing a designer jacket and suffering from withdrawals.
Suspect may have comic books with him.
Approach cautiously.

Good one, Kev  When I got my Voyager Signature, I ended up subscribing to EMF (Electronic Music Foundation). It's a hundred bucks for a good cause. AND they'll give you a fairly large discount on a Voyager (they only have the performer edition now). As far as the comix, are they an investment, or do you read them? You could always sell off the expensive stuff and get the cheapo reprints. Of course, I'm still kicking myself for getting rid of my original Mothers of Invention vinyl when I got the CD editions...
