sorry i made a mistake : i was thinking about a probably OS 1.04 Tribute Edition with the noise problem fixed
Amos : Mon Feb 04 wrote:For LP Tribute Edition owners, we are pleased to announce an improvement with the next version of the LP Tribute Edition operating system. It will include a user-friendly "auto" mode for the EGR matrix parameter, allowing you noise-free playing and access to the Envelope section parameters without any menu-diving. Once this is available we will send an email to every Tribute Edition owner who has registered their LP thru the Moog Warranty Registration system. This addresses the panel scanning noise which affects only the Tribute Edition.

And also :
Amos wrote: There will be a TE update which does NOT require any hardware update and which improves the "EGR matrix" noise solution. This version will NOT have the arpeggiator and other v2.0 new features, because it physically can't. There's no room for the extra code without a memory upgrade.
there will also be a TE release of OS 2.0 *WITH* all the new features, but due to the resulting size of the code, this version will require a memory upgrade.

2 months is a long time for some coding (EG noise fix) that is already done.

That the TE has smaller memory than the later LP versions is one thing
But now it's clear that we're just second grade owners as far as Moog is concerned
I've been trying to be positive, but really I'm just disappointed now

Guys, stop this!
It doesn't matter how long it *would* take IF we could work on it right now!
We are three people who are trying to do a lot of work on a very short deadline right now! You are not second-class customers by any stretch of the imagination. We simply have to do our work in a certain order or risk dire financial consequences for the entire company! Are you so selfish as to demand that we harm Moog Music, inc. in the long-term, just so that you can have something for free now instead of not very long from now?
Really, please. I'm begging you. Stop it. You're making me really sad and frustrated. If I could do what you want all by myself, I would do it right now - during a holiday - on my time off. But I can't. All I can do is explain to you, again, why we must make the choices we have made. Now I am pleading with you to listen. OK? Thanks...

I continue to think that asking for a fix for a factory problem that makes us switching envelopes off is perfectly reasonable
But I've been asking for 8 months now and I agree that the whining gets boring
I'll shut up all right

We'll release this software for the Tribute as soon as possible.
I will make a serious inquiry to find out if we can make it sooner.
This is my promise to you.

So my livelyhood doesn't get made or broken by a update for my Tribute Edition.
But Amos is right as rain ! 3 people can do only so much. I've been in manufacturing. But I know Amos will do us right, as we say up north.
I know I will have something to look forward to, and that's good enough for me.

Hey Guys, why don't we go and make some music and enjoy it too...
(no pun intended, it's not all about technology, gear and updates - although it may sometimes seem this way
