Voyager Oogle Love Synth Porn - PHOTO thread
CZ Rider,
this is the digital keyboard with the best quality buttons ever.
Wha options are in your Synclavier?
And yes, they match perfect in housing design.

It's sort of the "Tony Banks" setup. Has 16 FM/additive voices, running op system I/R, has dual Morleys. I think the processor is a "B" version. It can playback resynthesis patches, however I do not have the old sampler option to make my own. The sampler option was probably around another $10K back in the day. The setup I have cost over $20K back in 1982 when this one was built.this is the digital keyboard with the best quality buttons ever.

I get quite a few looks taking this setup out live, as many seasond synth gear heads have only seen photos of these, and never got a close look at one. It does have an unique sound. Just like the old Moog modulars, the oscillators have a range that goes beyond 40kHz.
Very nice indeed! Quite a rare bit of gear there.CZ Rider wrote: I get quite a few looks taking this setup out live, as many seasond synth gear heads have only seen photos of these, and never got a close look at one. Assuming you aren't original owner (apologies if wrong), do you know who was? Anybody famous/well known?
I believe I am the third owner. Owned originally by Rick Ulfik and was used in the sountrack to the movie Street Trash.(Hollywood) Was sold on Ebay and owned for a few months by a guy in MD that I purchased from. The Sync 2 needed the power supply rebuilt as when I recieved the Sync 2, it would not power up for more than a few minutes. With a little work if functions perfect now and I have used it on several live shows. And it looks great under the Voyager.GregAE wrote:Assuming you aren't original owner (apologies if wrong), do you know who was? Anybody famous/well known?
Here is another Voyager pic from the The STAR'S END 30th Anniversary Spacemusic Festival, where I'm playing the Sync 2.

Jeez, how do you get inside the circle to play all that gear? Crawl under the desk?
Seriously, though, a very impressive gear pile. It looks like you just need a proper stand for Voyager to complete the picture.

There's actually a narrow passageway of sorts between the front left corner of the Korg BX-3 (that's what the V-Synth GT is sitting on) and the left end of the Fantom X7. If I turn sideways, and suck in my ever-expanding, middle-aged gut , I can just make it through. "She Who Must Be Obeyed" won't even enter the music room anymore, as she's convinced that she's gonna knock something over. (Which allows my impulsive, GAS-driven acquisitions to sometimes go unnoticed for weeks, and is all part of my clever plan.)Modularfan wrote: Jeez, how do you get inside the circle to play all that gear? As you mentioned, I'm still trying to figure out a suitable stand solution for the Voyager. It makes me a little nervous with it perched on the Mesa/Boogie like that. I have a couple of unused stands in the garage, but neither of them are wide enough to straddle the Mesa or that Traynor K4. I may end up cobbling together a crude but sturdy stand of some sort out of wood.

Music can Name the Unnamable and Communicate the Unknowable.
'I am... everything is... changed... they're calling... your face... interwoven... who is...' Patient mumbles inaudibly to a tune (sounds like 'Thanks for the memory).
