When I start my MS20 and LP at the same time my Korg is usually tuned after a couple of minutes. The LP needs at least half n hour and sometimes more before I it's in tune with the rest of my gear. Both me and my mate thought that it was pretty funny that the old guy is faster than the new. But besides this thing both are rock solid.

How long does it take your LP:s to get in tune? Is it suppose to take 30-45 min for it to get warmed up?

The LP Tribute Users Manual Addendum from 10/02/06 states that the warm up period should be "about" 15 minutes. I have never thought that mine needed that much time to stabilize.

My LP is out of action at the moment, so i can't time it for you, but it usually takes around 10-15 minutes for me. It's summer here in England at the moment, so that helps no doubt, but it's never taken anything like as long as 45 minutes for me.

I did a calibration and now it's tuned after a 15 minute warm up. Damn, I love this thing.

Try setting Tune = Auto, also - any time you are not playing for more than about 90 seconds when Auto tune is turned on, the LP listens to its own oscillators and adjusts the Fine Tune voltage to give you concert pitch. Pretty spiffy. If you set it to Auto right after you turn on the LP, you can watch the numbers on the display as it adjusts Middle C until it reads 60.0 (the MIDI note number plus deviation in cents, 60.0 = exactly note 60).

It depends on the weather how long my Phatty takes to get stabilized. When it's nice and warm out, it takes maybe a minute or two. But I took it out on tour in february and I'd always set it up before everything else to give it enough time to warm up. I've gotten in the habit of just turning the fine tune knob up ever so slightly until it gets there, as it's pretty consistent.
