I just recorded and posted four short "duets" using my Moog LP Tribute and Korg Micro X:

Too much fun to play these things!

Hello mwalthius

Nice skills my friend and i must admit that your videos were a good reference for me before buying the LP.

I wanted to ask a question though.I am wondering if the korg's micro x arpegiator transmits midi notes? Can I use the arp of it to play other synths, like the LP lets say?

Thanks...

Thanks - glad the videos have been helpful.

I've never tried to use the Micro X's arpeggiator to drive another synth. Looking through the menus I don't see anything about that, nor could I find anything in a quick glance though the manual.

Korg has a Micro X forum at:

Maybe this has come up. I'm going to peruse the posts myself...

I really love your style and your videos.

The sounds you make on the LP are fantastic. I love the LP sounds on the first two duets the most.
Id really like to see some more vids also if you have any.

Cool, I intend to buy a Micro X as I need a general synth. It looks like a good companion for the LP.

Yes nice chops my friend, I was looking at the Korg Micro X wondering if that would be a good companion for my Phatty, it would seem so !

Thanks....

I think any rompler could be a good companion for the LP, because they're everything that the LP is not - polyphonic, digital, widely varied sounds, multi-timbral, etc. The Micro X is a particularly good choice for those with space and/or financial limitations. You get the Triton sound engine and loads of great factory patches in a small, inexpensive package (although it is not built like a tank).

FYI, I have posted three new Korg Micro X demo videos:

I hope it isn't rude to post Korg videos on a Moog board, but when I do Moog videos I will post them to the Korg folks as well. :)
