MF-101 (II) Effects loop and more Moog staff welcome...

Hello,
This is a question for Moog tech support, and perhaps an idea for a new Moogerfooger pedal. I'm coming from the point of being a huge fan of the new products, I have a Voyager, VX-351, MF-102, 2 MF-104's, with a CP-251 on the way.

I was playing with my friend's MF-101 the other day. I thought it sounded incredible, but I was kinda put off buy the fact that it was lacking a couple of features that would make it THEE envelope filter to own.

1. The direction of the filter only goes one way. Down.

2. No effects loop to use other effects with.

I only bring this up because 2 other envelope filters that I seem to see people use have both of these features. One discontinued(Meatball), the other inconsistant(Q-Tron+). But the MF-101 has THE SOUND!

So I was wondering if you could add a effects loop to the MF-101? A mod that owners could do, or have done. It does have 2 spaces in the back left open for jacks that you could place a Send and Return I/O, or you could use one jack and have it used like the effects loop in the Vovager leaving the other to be able to control the direction of the drive(Up or Down)(maybe with CV!). It seems like the drive direction might be a bit more complacated to do, but the effects loop issue may be just finding the insert point on the current circut board.

Thanks,
DSS

OK another stupid poll...

<<<<BUMP>>>>

Is this confusing...

1. Can you mod a MF-101 to have a effects loop???

2. Is there any way to mod a MF-101 to change the direction of the envelope?

3. Is Moog Music going to come up with a advance version that has these features?

Thanks,
DSS

this is a very old post but hey

the cp 251 has an inverted out in the mixer section, by plugging the env out into the mixer, inverting it plug it back into the ccutoff and hey your there
but you probably know this by now and have done it already
but in case anyone else finds this info useful i saw fit to answer this old post
