I've been interested in getting the stage...has anyone ordered and recieved one yet? Moog says they're shipping in Feb. but I went to the novamusik site yesterday and it seems that it's still in "preorder" status.

I was also wondering this -- Sweetwater just updated their page and has them arriving the week of March 11th.
Assuming this date is accurate, is this the delivery date for all vendors, or are they already shipping to certain outlets? I seem to recall seeing a post somewhere about the first shipment having already gone out to Guitar Center (though I could be mistaken)...

When the Tribute shipped, as one would expect, they shipped them out in "lots" as the items were being finished at the factory. The only way to send them out to all dealers at once would be to keep the LP's at the factory until they were all finished, then ship them out all at once. Of course, this is not feasable, economically or otherwise.
So, in short, some dealers will get the Stage before others do.
I know that it is tough to wait, but let me tell you, the LP is worth waiting for. I suggest purchasing from your local dealer, who spends the cash stocking something like this so that you can see it up close and personal. In this age of internet purchasing, you are smart to support the local guy, if he is worth supporting. If you have no local dealers, support somebody who supports analog instruments, so that they continue to be built. I would suggest Analog Haven in California. I would have purchased from them, except for the fact that I have a local dealer in my town (and now I have two stocking dealers!!).
SE a big success!!!!!!

I listen that LP SE is a big sucess. The factory has been sell all production until june. So all dealers must to buy it now or wait until june to have new ones. I think that handcrafted way that Moog made their synth only allow to made a few units. So all production is sell until june.

If that's true (if I understand your post correctly) then I made a good decision about buying the Tribute insted of waiting till June (Funk the 2nd mod destination

PHC my english is not good at all. I want to say that the first lot is camming in march, but will be not SE until june when the second lot will came. Dealers must buy now or wait until june for a second lot.

I noticed this dubious listing on ebay and wondered if they had landed on Uk shores:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... Track=true
It looks dodgey, despite one phatty 'buyer' leaving positive feedback?
On the basis that UK distributors are usually months behind the US in terms of receipt of stock, it seems very suspect?

Yes, I noticed that and it looks dodgy - the picture is of the tribute edition as well!

Note that the unit in the photo is a Moog Music Inc. model and not a UK (i.e. LP by Bob Moog) model.

Sorry to be drifting off topic here, but I sent the above seller this question:
Hi, Do you have these in stock now? Do you have a shop? cheers
To which he replied:
They will be shipped straight from the distributor. At the
moment the Moog Little Phatty's are being shipped from
America and should be in the UK sometime next week. I am
setting up an online shop but at the moment I am just posting
items on ebay. If you are interested in any other types of audio
equipment let me know and I will get a price for you as soon as I
can. thank you
So I sent him this:
Thanks for the reply. I notice your only buyer so far bought a Phatty and he has left you positive feedback. Where was that one shipped to as I didn't think Moog had started shipping them out yet? Sorry to be suspicious, just ebay is full of thieving scum. Cheers
No reply as yet...

Could be wrong, just had this reply:
It was to Bethnal Green in London. I understand being a little bit
dubious afterall I have very little feedback. If you want to check
the credentials of my business you can check the companies
house website. The name of my business is Solution City Ltd
(company number 5448211). My name is Ryan Collinge and I
am the director. If you have any more questions please do not
hesitate to ask.
Now tempted

that means nothing, there are plenty of registered companies that do dodgy business.
Also the US guys will get theirs first anyway so i reckon it will be april until any uk versions come over.
