Hi...I just downloaded the OS 2 software files. I'm using a Mac G3. Everytime I try and open the pdf. file with the instructions, I get the message. "This document is to large to be opened by Simple Text".

I don't use computers for music so I need your help. I've been trying too!

Thanks in advance...

You have to get the Acrobat Reader from Adobe!
This is a free tool to view *.pdf files.
www.adobe.com
You may find it also on most of ApplicationCD's.

Hi.

The cause of the problem is that for some unknown reason, pdf files have become associated with Simple Text. You just have to get around that.

There are two quick and easy solutions to this.

In OS X, instead of opening the file, select it by clicking on it once, not twice. Then hit the keys <command> <i> at the same time to "get info." There will be an "open with" box. Select acrobat reader and click "okay." You may get a message asking if you want to change all pdf files to be opened with Acrobat Reader. Again, select okay. This may take a moment to go through your computer and find and change all pdf files.

Alternatively, if you are in OS X or earlier (9, 8, etc.), instead of double clicking on the file, double click on Acrobat Reader. When that application is open, under the file menu select "open" and navigate to the file in question.

Or even easier, just drag the file in question onto the icon of the Acrobat Reader application. It should open right up for you.
