Last night while I was waiting for band members to turn up UI was messing around with my Murf, LPF, RingMod & CP-251.
What I'd done was patch the Square LFO from the CP-251 & the Ringmod into the 4 channel mixer along with the noise source from the cp251 and the fourth input was going nowhere but had a cable plugged in while I was making my mind up where to plug it(the output was going to the cutoff knob on the LPF).

I accidentally touched the tip and it made a cool fuzz bass sound with the rythmn from the 2 square waves along for the ride.

What I later noticed was that I could vary the pitch if I moved the tip of the
cable around near the pots and sliders of my other moogerfoogers.

I decided to pacth in a (non moog sadly) delay and had a wee bit of fun for over an hour then the guys came and took over....

So anyway does this mean that the foogers aren't that well shielded?
The power supplies are about a foot away, do you think that may have contributed?

The expression pedal inputs of the moogerfoogers work by using resistors to control current. Effectively, your body and some items can act like this resistance. And just like the expression pedals, this resistance controls the current and therefore the parameter. Nothing to do with shielding, its how it is supposed to work.

Try licking the tip of the cable.

I think what the original poster means is that they weren't touching the cable's tip at all; the changes in signal were coming from electromagnetic/RF emissions.

yeah I was holding the shield and just waving it around... was doing some strange things.

I use my sweaty hands to control the pwm on my MS10.
Works a treat!
