So how many of you actually gig with your Voyagers? Do they come home smelling all smokey? I wish I had two so I could keep one at home and one in the trunk of the car.

I take mine to shows virtually every week. It really blows peoples minds to see so many knobs and cool lights. I don't really worry about the smoke too much since its only out an hour at the most for our sets. Really, whats the point of having it if you don't use it?! The thing is so friggin' fat through a good PA! The one thing is I'm pretty paranoid about it getting stolen which means you gotta keep tabs on while you're trying to hang out. Do it! Rock that bitch live!

I gigged with my Voyager, it makes a very good LH bass machine. It has been in smokey bars and doesn't have the least hint of nicotine smell on it at all.

The only danger for my Voyager is actually me !

We had a gig in 2005 where we were filming a video of the performance. I ordered a special edition Voyager for that event (backlit panel, oak wood, big signature from Bob on the wood above the keys). I even bought a big flightcase from EMC, the german distributor.
Nothing should happen to my beloved friend and no one should come near.

When I took it off the case and lifted it up, I forgot about my buckle belt. Actually the first thing I did to that new machine was to cut a big, long scratch into the wood at the front, underneath the keys.

I still cringe, when I think back. If I had had a gun, I knew what I had done.

The show was lousy and I hate the video.

You must be from NY. There's been no slow-down of smoking here in TN. Although the non-smoking areas of restaurants are as large and sometimes larger than the smoking sections.

Other states have smoking bans on bars too, not just NY.

Yeah, there's not going to be ban on smoking in bars anywhere in the South any time soon. That's tobacco country.

On the other hand you know us Californians, we're all tofu turkeys and wheatgrass shots. I LOVE not reeking of stale cigarettes after a gig.

Smoking in bars/restaurants has been banned for two years in my country. I remember one gig before that happened when I came home smelling like a chimney and with a layer of ash all over my pedalboard, amp...

Was it a Moog belt buckle? Man, that would be ironic!

I love the smoking ban in NY, it happened shortly after i turned 21 and now when i go to other states it's always very confusing when you go to tell the person to put out their cigarette and they just give you a very angry glance.
Smoking a joint in a bar on the other hand....that is something i would like to un-ban!
