Moving to INIT preset from a designed sound, or vice-versa

Okay let me make sure I have this correct...

When moving to a different preset, no knob is active until you touch it?

So If I created a preset I like many elements of, save it, then move to INIT to create something similar,

The values I want to maintain/carry over from the preset I just designed can be implemented on the new preset just by twisting the parameter's knob back and forth a hair?

I'm gonna throw a couple more newb questions in here below too if you don't mind, since I already have your attention... Much appreciated!

---

1- Why does only my "A" ASDR envelope function and not my "F"? What parameter is toggled upstream to switch between "A" and "F" ASDR envelopes? Is there some kind of way to use both of them on different oscillators at the same time to create a dynamic breathing effect in, say, an 808 kick?

2- I'm not very good at using my other hand to twist the LFO speed knobs to automate the values as I play a bass line... Is my only option to just use XFer LFOTool making sure to turn the "smooth" value up so as to avoid popping? Are you actually supposed to play a mono synthesizer in such a fashion, automating with one hand and playing with the other? I've never seen a professional musician use a mono synth.

Thanks for your time, and I'm sorry to put various questions in one thread but I'd prefer to not flood the board
