Editor "Can't connect hardware" error

Hi folks,
I've repeatedly ran into connection issues with my Moog Subsequent 37 and Editor. Despite midi channels and everything being set correctly, it seems at random it has periods where it just doesn't seem to get a connection. Turning the Moog hardware off/on doesn't help (most of times), and changing midi settings in editor from something else to correct doesn't either (most of times).
Before mentioned troubleshooting steps did fix things sometimes, but definitely not always. Being in another "period" where the hardware/software connection seems to not be able to be established, I'm writing this message in hopes of finding out if I'm missing something.
What's interesting is that if I turn off the Moog, the Editor turns the midi input and midi output fields to red. When I turn it back on it turns back to yellow.
Meanwhile, my FL Studio midi out signal works perfectly, as does audio input (obviously). FL Studio midi channel for Moog is on a designated channel, changing channel also doesn't work. I just don't know what's the cause behind this.
