MIDI Clock not entirely in sync with DAW

I'm fairly new to receiving MIDI signals in synths, but is it normal that sending MIDI clock from my DAW to my Moog One will result in an uneven BPM, i.e. that it doesn't read as, say, 120 BPM on the One's display, but as something close to it, but with decimals, for example 119.8 or 120.2 and then moving up and down in realtime as it is receiving the MIDI clock from my DAW? I'm using old 5-pin MIDI and not USB, by the way, and the cable goes directly from my RME Fireface 800 to the One.

Could it be that I'd need a separate MIDI interface for it to be more even? If so, which interface would you recommend? Or would it be better to potentially upgrade to a newer sound card / audio interface such as something from UAD?

Apologies if this has been answered before - I couldn't find it when searching through posts, though.

Many thanks, and have a nice day!
