Minimoog Key Issue

Hi all,
I recently purchased a Minimoog Model D Reissue, and everything seems fine except for one issue. When I press one specific black key, it doesn't respond, so the synth doesn't produce any sound. However, when I use an external MIDI keyboard, the corresponding note plays perfectly, leading me to believe the problem lies with the Minimoog's keyboard.

I got the synth in B-stock condition for about $2,250 USD, which I thought was a good deal since it looks brand new. The seller was unaware of the issue and offered to let me return it. Do you think it's still worth keeping it and trying to find a solution? Has anyone else experienced similar keyboard issues?

Since I’m not in the USA, returning it to Moog might be challenging. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot or fix this problem myself?

My guess is a problem with the keybed. And most likely not just a single not connected cable, as the diode matrix uses several cables per note. So just one missing note is not possible by a missing connection.

That's a smokin' deal on a reissue- I would keep it and get it repaired.

That is a great price. I'd pull it apart & have a look, maybe something basic like debris in there?

there's probably a disassembly how-to on youtube. Moog posted pictures, maybe it's even in a thread here

Be careful handling the aftertouch connector, I think it's pretty fragile
