Voice Count / mono / unison Issues

Booting up the muse / running on the default init patch I seem to get varying results on the voice count

What I think should be happening: 1 voice per key press. And you can see on the screen which voice is firing (1-8) depending on how quickly you press the key and how long the sustain / decay is set for on the envelope.

However I seem to get randomly get a situation where (again default init patch). 2 voice cards fire for every key press. Sometimes it's 3 voice cards for every key press. This seems to hold true throughout the session when it happens. i.e. if I turn it on and it's plaything 3 it's going to be 3 every key press for every patch for the entire session. If it's 2, same thing always 2 voices / per key for any patch.

Is there a configuration setting I'm missing here someplace, sometimes with this many features it's hard to tell whether there's an issue or you're just missing a setting somewhere.

Mono / Unison issue:

If I'm on the default patch and I hit mono, I get a stuck note, I have to hit midi panic to turn it off. but once I hit another note it just holds in mono it's like the VCA won't close in mono just rings out forever. Same thing happens if I switch from mono to unison. All eight voices start ringing immediately if I press unison, I can change the notes of unison with the keyboard but the vca never closes no matter what I do with sustain / decay.

I've noticed random not hanging as you describe, but haven't paid enough attention to the circumstances to consider it reportable.

I've noticed the 'two cards firing' thing. I'd always figured it was something about the patching and haven't looked into it yet. Are you saying you get the 'two cards' on an init patch? Right now, I can only see multiples on stacks or unison patches.
